Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the media. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft, and becoming amazed by the music. This led to her began to write her own music. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mom told her that her songs would not just help her gain fame, and also inspire others to see their importance in the world and realize what can be done with her songs She decided to start singing in public. The mother of her child suggested that she perform her songs publicly in order to make people aware of the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. Her family didn't be aware of this until she was 14. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. According to her, she simply likes to write songs. She claims that music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
